I put my de-clutter efforts on hold. That’s a conscious choice and had nothing to do that the EFT tapping has no effect on me. The choice came by reading the introduction of a book about getting organised “Organizing from the Inside Out”. The writer, Julie Morgenstern made clear that “Being organized has less to do with the way an environment looks like than how efficiently it functions”. And the other important point she makes is: “Organizing is the process by which we create environments that enable us to live, work and relax exactly as we want to”.
That takes the edge of wanting to push this de-clutter process and getting perfectionist about it. I’m looking forward reading this book because Julie Morgenstern was not born as a perfect organised person she has learned to become one.
This gives me hope and a smooth transition to the next book I look forward to read.
Hope is according to Alan Deutchman the first key for change. In this Fastcompany article he introduced the reader to his book Change or Die: The Three keys to Change at work and in Life.
With fascinating stories about remarkable changes and researching the psychology of change.
Fear of death and brutal force doesn’t work. What works are the 3 keys to Change:
Relate - New Hope: You form a new, emotional relationship with a person or community that inspires and sustains hope.
Repeat- New Skills: The new relationship helps you learn, practice, and master the new habits and skills that you’ll need.
Reframe- New Thinking: The new relationship helps you learn new ways of thinking about your situation and your life.
Sounds simple but apparently it isn’t.
I think that one can fit elegantly EFT into this change. One could work on certain issues and hang-ups that seem to block change. EFT can make the process of relating-repeating and reframing easier and faster.
Whatever the change is you want to make in your life, with the information and inspiration of the book combined with EFT, lasting change becomes attainable for everybody!
